The people who do get into your site, are looking for something that they expect to make their life easier or better. If they can find it then they will be back later and tell their friends. If they cannot find it then they will not be back - and they might tell their friends not to visit either.
Regardless of what anyone will tell you, it is not easy to get people to visit your site. When people use search engines, most will check only as far as the first page of results. So each visitor is precious.
And getting past the search engine is only the first step. Once they decide to try your site they first run into all of your graphics slowing them down (or not, if you only use them sparingly). Then they have to find what they are looking for in your page.
Most visitors do not like to feel lost. You can help them feel like they know where they are and how to get where they want to go by providing them with a consistent screen layout and logical navigation tools to move around your site.
If you think back to your own experience, what types of sites did you find most useful? We will help you make your site one that visitors think of when asked that exact question.
Page size is also important to navigation. Your visitors should not need to scroll through pages and pages of graphics and text to find the one thing that they are looking for. It should be obvious!!!
Your web site is the first salesperson that your new customer will ever meet. And if your salesperson is not helpful (easy to understand) and knowledgeable (easy to use and fast) then they will probably not choose you to give their business to.
Let us make your visitors into customers.
My site is finished, how do I make sure that I am listed in the search engines?
